Who Do You Want to Be?

Success isn’t luck—it’s a reflection of who you are. Elevate yourself, master your mindset, and opportunities will find you. Are you chasing or attracting?

What do you want to be when you grow up?”

Did you grow up hearing that question a lot?

What do you want to be?

A doctor? A lawyer? An athlete? A chef?

The question, “What do you want to be?” reveals something about our culture.

Our culture values what we do more than it values who we are.

I think a better question is, “Who do you want to be?”

Your job isn’t nearly as important as your character.

Working hard at your job will determine how much money you make. But working hard on your character will determine what really matters.

There’s a hidden message for us in Mark 3 that I want to point out to you.

After Jesus chose his disciples, he had them do three things… Mark 3:14-15 says, “He appointed twelve that they might be with him and that he might send them out to preach and to have authority to drive out demons.”

Before Jesus asked the disciples to preach and cast out demons, He required them to “be with him.

He wanted them to learn from Him, talk with Him, and observe Him. Then, out of that intimacy, ministry would flow.

Because what we do is an outpouring of who we are.

Success starts with who you are, not what you do.

Want to build a powerful life? Follow this formula: BE - DO - HAVE.

BE disciplined, relentless, and focused.

DO the work—show up early, stay late, and push through resistance.

It’s not magic. It’s cause and effect. Master who you are, and the results will follow.

Make yourself bigger, and you'll have bigger success.

If you want a 10X life, you need to be a 10X version of yourself.

Learn new skills.

Develop discipline.

Get serious about your health, your finances, your faith.

Read the books.

Take the risks.

Show up for yourself every single day.

You don’t just stumble into success—you build it. And you are the foundation.

The world belongs to those who grow.

Make yourself so valuable that success has no choice but to find you.

Be so skilled that opportunities chase YOU.

Success is never about luck. It’s about who you become.

So ask yourself: Are you chasing? Or are you attracting?
