What Do You See in the Rain?

What would you do if you were a salesman and it started pouring rain?

Two men faced that exact situation. Same rain. Same morning. Two very different responses.

The first salesman looked outside and groaned. “It’s raining. No one will buy today. I’ll just stay home.”

The second salesman looked outside and smiled. “It’s raining. That means everyone is home, including my competition. This could be my best day yet.”

And it was…

It wasn’t the rain that made the difference; it was perspective.

Life is full of “rainy days.” You don’t get to choose when the rain comes. But you do get to choose how you see it.

One perspective keeps you stuck. The other opens the door to opportunity.

Your mindset shapes your response.

That’s why Paul wrote in Philippians 4:8:

“Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.”

He knew that what you dwell on will eventually determine what you do.

When you choose to focus on what’s good, honorable, and worthy, you’ll see opportunities that others miss.

You’ll have hope where others only see obstacles. You’ll find courage when others give up.

Perspective changes everything.

So what does the rain look like right now? A challenge at work?
A struggle in your family?
A problem you didn’t see coming?

The rain may not change. But your perspective can.

See it through the eyes of faith.
See it as a place where God can show up.
See it as an opportunity to grow stronger, go deeper, and shine brighter.
