Light Up Your Purpose

Your purpose isn’t found in waiting—it’s in taking action. Eliminate excuses, embrace discipline, and chase your dreams with relentless faith.

Just one step forward.

That's it.

You just need enough light for the next step.

Nothing more, nothing less.

In Psalm 119, David describes God’s word as "a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”

Here’s the thing: there were no streetlights back then. No LED headlamps or flashlights either.

There were small lamps that illuminated what was right in front of you.

Just the next step.

In life, we often want everything figured out, but that robs us of the journey.

God wants to equip us with the wisdom and skill to take the next step.

He doesn’t want us plotting shortcuts or critiquing the route.

He wants us to move forward, with faith, step by step.

If we knew the whole plan, we’d automatically start figuring out ways to cut corners or expedite the process.

But the purpose of life isn’t to rush through it.

We have to live our lives and experience them in real time.

When we are fed up with our lives, we seek more distractions.

We can often get agitated, anxious, and annoyed with things around us.

When this happens, we often seek more distractions through substances, devices, and media.

This simply takes our gaze off the path ahead.

Sometimes, we can even get so distracted by the twinkling lights behind us, that we can’t see the next step illuminated in front of us.

This kind of reflection can be a total distraction.

You don’t want to get stuck looking backwards. This is how we fall. This is when you fail.

Your purpose is forward.

Stay focused on the clear next step.

March on!

It can be scary to step into our purpose.

Sometimes the path is dark and uncertain.

Sometimes it feels better to focus on what’s behind us.

Sometimes we want what’s more certain.

But God’s path is forward.

Your purpose is one more step ahead.

Step into the light of God’s word. Heed wisdom, guidance, and trust in the process.

Be faithful today; let tomorrow worry about itself.

There are people who need you.

There are tasks to be done.

There’s a mission to be accomplished.

When you worry endlessly about tomorrow, you forget about today.

When you’re looking too far ahead to the endzone, you risk dropping the ball at the fifty.

Lean on God’s word to light the path ahead.

Rely on wisdom to guide you for the next turn.

Stand on the truth when the ground seems shaky.

And remember, progress is power.

You’ve got this!
