God Made You for Greatness

You're sitting in another meeting.
You throw out an idea that could change everything.
And you're met with blank stares.
Or worse, polite nods that mean nothing.

You drive home wondering if you're too much.
Maybe you're aiming too high.
And should just dial it back.

Let me set this clear:
You're not too much.
You're a lion in a room full of house cats.

You were built for the wild.
Designed to run, hunt, dominate…
But you've been caged so long you've started acting like them.

You've shrunk.
Not because you're less than you were.
But because your environment doesn't demand your roar.

That restlessness you feel.
That anxiety that wakes you up at 3 a.m.
That's not weakness.
That's your potential screaming at you that you're in the wrong room.

You become the sum of the 5 people you spend the most time with.

Your mindset, your work ethic, your vision.
All is influenced by who's around you.
When you surround yourself with people who dream small, complain often, or accept mediocrity, it's only a matter of time before you start doing the same.

But when you align with people who challenge you, inspire you, and push you to level up, your potential expands.
The conversations shift.
Instead of talking about problems, you're strategizing solutions.
Instead of doubting, you're believing.

You've spent too long trapped in places that don't appreciate your gifts.
You've lowered your ambitions because others can't comprehend them.
You've downplayed your success to make them comfortable.
You've pretended to be less so they don't feel insecure.

Not anymore.

God didn't give you a vision so you could shrink it.
He gave it to you so you could build it.
That means you need people around you who can handle the weight of your dreams.

Some people will try to keep you small. Don't let them.

Not everyone will celebrate your growth.
Some will try to keep you at their level because it makes them feel safe.
But it's not your job to stay small for their comfort.

Proverbs 27:17 says, "As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another."

So, here's the challenge:

Audit your circle.
Take a hard look at the 5 people you spend the most time with.
Do they challenge you, push you forward, and support your vision?
Or do they fill your mind with doubt, negativity, and complacency? 

Raise your standards.
If the people around you don't push you to be better, find people who do.
Growth happens when you're in an environment that demands more from you.

Refuse to shrink.
The dreams God placed in your heart weren't meant to be hidden or minimized.
Stop playing small to make others comfortable.

Your roar is too powerful to be silenced.
Your vision is too big to be dimmed.

God made you for greatness.
Step into it.
