When Faith Moves Mountains

When faith fuels action, impossible stories become miracles. Discover what happens when faith doesn’t quit.

In 1987, a Polish surgeon named Dr. Zbigniew Religa defied every expectation.

After 23 grueling hours of surgery, with outdated equipment and minimal resources, he successfully transplanted a heart into 60-year-old Tadeusz Zhitkevich, a patient everyone else had deemed hopeless.

That moment, captured in a powerful photograph, shows Dr. Religa exhausted but unwavering, sitting vigil beside his patient.

It symbolizes not just medical triumph, but the extraordinary strength of faith in action.

When everyone says "impossible," faith responds, "possible."

Tadeusz had been told he was too old, too weak, and without hope.

Yet, he still wrote a simple, heartfelt plea: “I am a teacher. I have a sick heart. Please help me.”

His request mirrored the kind of bold, humble faith we see throughout Scripture, like the blind man who called out to Jesus, believing despite the odds (Luke 18:38).

Tadeusz's quiet faith triggered a chain reaction that ultimately saved his life.

Faith isn't waiting—it's acting.

Dr. Religa didn’t simply believe in possibilities; he acted on them. His courage was fueled by purpose, overriding his fatigue and fears.

It’s a clear reflection of the Apostle Paul's encouragement: “Let us not grow weary of doing good” (Galatians 6:9).

True faith doesn’t sit passively by, hoping conditions will improve. It steps boldly into uncertainty, risking everything because it believes in something greater.

Faith pushes through exhaustion, doubt, and even chaos to declare confidently, "With God, anything is possible."

What's your impossible mission?

We might not all perform groundbreaking surgeries, but we each have a mission.

There's a place, a person, a calling that demands your courage and belief. Maybe it's your family, community, or dreams… Someone, somewhere, needs you to act boldly in faith.

Tadeusz lived another 30 years, not because circumstances were ideal, but because someone dared to believe and act.

Your faith-driven actions can also rewrite impossible stories.

Today, choose faith.
Step out boldly.
Your faith may be the catalyst for someone else’s miracle.

Remember, anything is possible when you keep the faith.
