Controlling the Climate of Your Soul

Stop letting external circumstances control your internal peace. You are the architect of your soul; use gratitude to set a warm climate regardless of the storm.

The cold metal dial of the thermostat clicks under your thumb.
You turn it up on a winter morning.
The air in the room begins to change.

You do not ask the weather for permission.
You just set the temperature for your own house.

Your heart works the exact same way.

The world outside may be freezing and gray.
The news might be loud and heavy.
But you hold the dial in your hand.

You set the climate of your soul.

Worry is a heavy coat that never keeps you warm.
It takes your energy and gives nothing back.
It is a leak in the windows of your mind.

But remember the words Jesus spoke to the crowd:

"Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?" (Matthew 6:27)

The answer is always a quiet no.

Joy is a choice, not a reaction.

Think of your thoughts like clouds in the sky.

Some are dark and rainy. Some are light and move quickly.

You cannot stop the clouds from appearing.
But you do not have to chase them.
You can stand still and watch them pass by.

When you choose joy,  you reclaim your strength.
You find the clarity you need to lead your family.
You find the focus you need to do your work.

Peace begins with a single breath.

Today, take a moment to check your settings.

Are you letting the world freeze you out?
Or are you turning up the heat of hope?

Remember that life happens for you, not just to you.

And every challenge is a chance to adjust the dial.

So, choose to be warm even when the wind blows.
