Becoming a Hope Dealer

You cross paths every day with people quietly drowning in loneliness or pain. God placed His light in you so you can carry hope to them; small acts that change lives.

A friend told me that last Christmas, he stood in the middle of his living room surrounded by lights, gifts, and family, but still felt… alone. Completely alone.

No one knew how much he was hurting. No one knew how depressed and alone he felt.

“I just wish someone told me they were glad I was there… That would have changed everything.” He said.

It made me wonder… How many of these people are hiding in plain sight?

Hope is the one gift you can give endlessly without ever running out.

Jesus said in Matthew 5:14, “You are the light of the world.”

Some people read that and think they need to brighten up every room all the time. That’s a lot of pressure.

But the light doesn’t come from us. Just like the moon reflects the sun’s light to shine in darkness, it’s the same with us.

You are the light because Christ’s light lives in you.

Christmas is a season of intentionally shining in dark places.
A reminder that Jesus stepped into a dark world to bring hope to the hopeless… and now He invites us to do the same.

Hope isn’t something you keep; it’s something you carry.

Hope dealers do small things with great love.
They look up.
They notice.
They care.

It’s the man who pays for the coffee of the person behind him.
It’s the mom who texts a simple “You matter more than you know.”
It’s the coworker who prays silently for the person who looks defeated.

Hope is not always loud. Sometimes it’s a whisper that keeps someone going.

When you carry Jesus, someone else finds their way.

You have no idea how God might use you this week.

There are small, intentional acts of kindness that can drastically change the course of someone’s life.

Never… listen to me… Never underestimate the power you have to change someone’s life.

You don’t need a platform, a microphone, or a perfect life to be a hope dealer. You just need a willing heart.

So today, ask yourself,

Who can I lift?
Who can I notice?
Who can I encourage?
Who can I pray for?

Be a hope dealer. The world is aching for someone like you.
