Are You Climbing the Right Ladder?

A fisherman’s simple life reveals true fulfillment. Happiness isn’t about hustle or someday goals—it’s embracing enough, cherishing loved ones, and living intentionally today.

A wealthy businessman on vacation encounters a Mexican fisherman who spends his mornings catching just enough fish for his family. The rest of his day was spent cooking, laughing, and making memories.

The businessman can’t help but offer unsolicited advice: “Fish all day, sell more, scale your operation, and make millions!”

The fisherman calmly asks, “Why would I do that?”

The businessman explains, “So you can retire, relax, and spend time with your family.”

And there it is: the ultimate punchline. The very life the businessman aspires to after decades of toil is the one the fisherman already enjoys.

Happiness isn’t a destination; it’s a state of being.

We often fall into the trap of “someday syndrome.”

Someday, when we’ve hit that goal, bought that car, or earned that title, then we’ll finally allow ourselves to be happy. But what if the life you desire isn’t about adding more—it’s about embracing enough?

Dream big, work hard—but never at the cost of your soul.

Jesus said it best in Matthew 16:26, “What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?”

The Mexican fisherman reminds us that success isn’t about endless hustle; it’s about alignment.
It’s investing in what matters most—faith, family, and fulfillment.

Am I chasing someone else’s dream or living my own?

Take a moment today to pause. Reflect on the life you’re building. Build your vision with intention.

Celebrate the simple joys and fully in the present. After all, the journey is where life happens.
