God Rejoices in Your Start

Progress does not require perfection. Small faithful steps build momentum, strengthen faith, and invite God to work. Showing up matters more than finishing perfectly.

I was talking with a friend the other day, and he sounded worn down.

He told me he’d been meaning to work out again. But when the morning came, the energy just wasn’t there.

“I kept thinking about how long it’s been,” he said. “And then I thought, what’s the point? If I can’t do the full workout, why bother at all?”

So he didn’t.

And as he said it out loud, he realized something:

It wasn’t his body that stopped him. It was the belief that effort only counts if it’s complete.

Small steps still move you forward.

Five minutes of movement changes your body more than zero minutes.
One verse read shapes your mind more than a closed Bible.
A short prayer opens your heart more than silence.

Progress does not require perfection. It requires showing up.

Think about how Jesus taught:
He spoke about seeds, tiny things placed faithfully that grow over time.

“Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin.” (Zechariah 4:10)

The enemy loves an all-or-nothing mindset.
But God rejoices in the start, not the size or the speed.

Some progress builds hope. No progress builds regret.

So if today all you can give is a little, give it fully.
Do the small thing with intention.
Trust God with the growth.

Movement, no matter how small, is how transformation begins.

So take that small step.

God will meet you there.
